OH Baby! Can I still have fun if I take my baby/toddler to the Disney Parks?

Image
The best piece of Disney news I ever found out was about kids! "They are FREE until they are three"! That is what Disney says! Isn't that the best news for your family?! I have traveled with a child under three and wasn't charged anything for her. Not for her food, her hotel stay, her ticket, nothing! But are you wondering what you can all do inside the parks with a baby or toddler? Some people might tell you that there isn't a lot of things you can do; but they would be wrong! There is so much that they can do and even rides they can go on with you! But lets first talk about what to do if they can not ride something with you. It's called Rider Switch. With Rider Switch, you take turns experiencing an attraction. One party waits outside the queue while the remainder of their party waits in the queue. Once the first party returns from riding, the waiting party may board the attractions without having to wait in the standard queue. So how do you use it? 1. At th...

The Magic of Magic Kingdom

Image
When my husband and I first traveled to Disney World in 2013, my husband had never been. I hyped him up for all of this magic that we would experience! We decided to do Epcot (he has a programming and tech background with work) and Hollywood Studios! We headed to Epcot first. Now I will say that this trip was far from perfect, as it was my first time planning a trip, and I didn't really research before leaving! We got to the park, went around the park and around world showcase, and Dan (my husband) asked me where the magic was!!! I was shocked and a little bit upset by his reaction. Knowing we both grew up on the Disney VHS tapes of the 90's, I knew what he was after. I had never been to Epcot before that day either, but I knew where we could find the magic. I took him on a monorail ride over to Magic Kingdom, and we spent the rest of the day there. Walking into the Magic Kingdom park and up Main St USA, he leaned over and said "Okay! This is the heart of the magic!"...

My Top 10 Things To Do

Image
Everyone has their favourite things to do in Disney World! I am going to count down my top 10!  10. Carousel of Progress! This one most people would say skip to, however, it is one of my favourites! I can not do a trip without hitting this ride at least once! This ride takes you on a time travel through the 20th century and the evaluation of technology. This can be found in Magic Kingdom. 9. Spaceship Earth. This one is also one that all members of my family want to ride multiple times! We have even park hopped to ride this on our last day for them! This ride takes you through time and the evaluation of communication from the stone age to the computer age.  This ride is found in Epcot.  8. Avatar Flight of Passage. This ride is super cool, even if you haven't seen the movies. It is a 3D ride where you are on a banshee that flies over Pandora's landscapes. This attraction is found in Animal Kingdom.  7. Jungle Cruise. This ride is an original! The best parts are the s...

My Disney Experience

Image
The very first question I ask when helping someone plan is; have you downloaded the MDE (My Disney Experience) app? This app allows you to use your phone as your ticket to get into the parks, it allows you to book your LL(Lightning Lane), it will show you wait times for the attractions, and so much more!  Lets go over some MDE basics. After downloading the app you will need to sign in. You can create an account or sign into an existing one if you have already made one on the website. Once logged in you can start exploring the app. From the app you can purchase park tickets, LL, mobile order food, reserve dining, enjoy all of your photos taken by Photo Pass! I recommend downloading it well before your vacation and start using some of the features so you are more comfortable using it while on your vacation. It will hold all of the information that you need for your trip, like showtimes, character meet & greets, park hours, extended hours, restroom locations and attraction l...

On site vs off site stays

Image
Sometimes the thoughts of doing an onsite stay vs an offsite stay can be over whelming! I have stayed multiple times both ways and there are positive and negatives to both sides! Let’s break it down On Site There are 31 resort hotels on Disney World property! There is a wide range of pricing, and varying hotel room sizes! Disney breaks them down into 3 different classes/categories, deluxe, moderate and value. There are perks to each level.  Value resorts-These are you "money saving" resorts. They have smaller rooms (good for if you're just sleeping there!) They have transportation, but it is usually shared between the value resorts. They are the furthest away from everything. The pools are themed and fun but don't have waterslides or hot tubs. But they are still super fun and immersive! Usually, the dining options at these resorts is only quick service.  Moderate resorts -These are your middle of the line resorts. They again come with benefits. They are good proximity...

Welcome!

Image
Welcome friends! a lot of people have told me that I should write a book to help others plan their Disney trips! So I figured I would try a blog! Let me first introduce myself. My name is Beck and I am passionate about Disney! I was a typical 90’s Disney kid! I grew up on the classics! I was not a child fortunate enough to go to any of the parks as a young child, my family wasn’t well off by any means, however when I was in eighth grade my family was sent on a holiday to make memories with me very ill sister. She chose Disney World as her trip! So we were off, on a "cheap as we can do it" trip. My parents gave us the best experience they could and honestly, even though I was 13 Disney World was still full of magic! It was amazing. And so began a deep-rooted feeling in my heart for Disney. When I got married my husband had never been either, so we planned our honeymoon trip to Disney World. Since then I have been multiple times over the years, and helped plan more trips tha...
