Let's go to Animal Kingdom!

Welcome to a park that often gets overlooked! Most people look at this park as no more than a glorified zoo, or even a half-day park.  This park is a great park to visit for guests of all ages, and there is so much to do! Let's start with rides/attractions

Rides/attractions

Expedition Everest- This roller coaster is the crown jewel of Animal Kingdom, offering a thrilling ride through the Himalayas. At 44 inches tall, you're good to go, and the single rider and rider switch options can help you skip long lines! Don't miss the Yeti animatronic- it's one of Disney's best!

Dinosaur- Closing soon, this is a rough ride through time to capture some dinosaurs. I will warn you it is dark and scary, my girls didn't like it until they were older.

Kilimanjaro Safaris- Hands down my favourite ride in the park! The safari changes depending on the time of day and weather, so I highly recommend going at different times for new experiences. Keep your eyes peeled for all kinds of wildlife!

Avatar Flight of Passage- This ride also requires you to be 44 inches tall. It is a super immersive ride that has riders on the back of a banshee as they fly through Pandora's otherworldly landscape. This ride also pumps smells out at you on top of being 3D, so if you are sensitive to scents, I would recommend you skip this one.

Na'vi River Journey- This is also a Pandora themed ride, however this one is good for all ages. It takes you on a journey into the glowing bioluminescent rainforest. The first time I rode this, it felt like I was in a whole different universe!

Kali River Rapids- Currently (as of the publish date of this post) closed for refurbishment. It is a water attraction that you "might" get wet on. It is a good one for when you're trying to beat the summer Florida heat!

There are a lot of attractions that are animal viewing options. The MDE app has the full map and animals to see!

After you've experienced the thrilling rides, it's time to take in some of Animal Kingdom's specular shows!

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue....and Beyond- This is a great stage show for all ages. With multiple performances there is a good chance it should fit into your day! Also a great way to sit in some air-conditioning for a while!

Festival of the Lion King- A fun interactive stage show full of colour and sing along songs! It is also indoor (air-conditioned) and great for all ages! It also has multiple showtimes to fit in any part of your day.

Characters

There are lots of character meet and greets including; Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Moana, Timon and Rafiki, and more!

Animal Kingdom may not always get the same level of attention as the other Disney parks, but it's an absolute gem full of unique experiences that will leave you in awe. Whether you're looking for thrilling rides, up-close animal encounters, or unforgettable shows, there's so much to explore here. Be sure to take your time and soak in the incredible details, from the beauty of Pandora during the day and night to the serenity of the Kilimanjaro Safaris.

At the end of the day, make sure to catch the Tree of Life Awakenings to see this iconic symbol of the park come to life. It's the perfect way to wrap up your adventure!
